Since 1987, Henk has been active at Rabobank in IT Infrastructure, Application Development and at the Business side. He has fulfilled a variety of roles, including Consultant, Project-/Program Management and Product Management. Since 1997 Henk has been active in management roles in different areas of interest. In his most recent position, Henk leads the department that’s responsible for the development and exploitation of the mainframe infra (both IBM and HPE/Nonstop). In 2012 Rabobank strategically decided for the IBM mainframe as the base for the renewal (of the backend) of the payment systems. As a result of this strategic choice the mainframe infra has been extensively modernized, a journey “from fourth division towards Champions League level”. Henk has a background in Applied Mathematics/Operations Research at Delft University of Technology.
